Valeria Card Kingdoms is without a doubt my favourite Valeria game. So, I was eagerly awaiting these accessories to elevate the game experience even further, and they certainly didn’t disappoint. These accessories included dice, a game mat, bigger box and resource trackers. Game Mat: The wonderfully illustrated play mat is double sided. One is used for the brilliant new cooperative mode from the Darksworn expansion. The other is for the tried and true competitive game mode. This competitive side also includes the added locatio...

Rundown: If you are like me, you really enjoy wingspan and want everything for it. This may not be an addition to gameplay, however, it enhances the game through cosmetic immersion. This egg-spansion  comes with 10 different coloured eggs, each with a secondary colour speckled throughout....

Munchkin Mayhem Mat: Review

Munchkin Mayhem Mat: Review Information: Mechanics:  Expansion, Variable Player Abilities Publisher : Steve Jackson Games Disclaimer:  A review copy for the game was provided by the publisher. Objective: The ‘Munchkin Mayhem’ silicon mat adds a new layer to any munchkin game. Firstly, players can keep track of their level in a visually pleasing way. Player markers do not come with the mat so each player must use something that represents them. Secondly, and most importantly, the mat adds a bonus upon every level gain that can be used continuously while the player is at that level. When levelling up, players can choose between two pathways that each have a bonus (think of a skill tree), so not every player will have the same game experience. How to Play: Every player will find a game piece to represent them and begin on level one in the centre of the mat. For the rest of the game, whenever a player gains a level they will move from the space they are on to an adjacent arc...

Card Caddy - Upgrade

Card Caddy - Upgrade: Today I'll be implementing a new type of review called "Upgrade" where we will be looking at game accessories and upgraded components. Today this will feature a deck box by card caddy. Now before you click away this isn't just a standard deck box this is a modular deck box. Due to the modular nature the possibilities to tweak the card caddy to suit your purpose makes the card caddy so much more desirable and reusable for different scenarios. Deck Box -Single and Double: Currently Card Caddy comes in a single and double size (with a triple to be released in the future). To explore how much each box can hold, I used standard magic cards (as I have a million of them laying around). The single Card Caddy can hold 62 standard cards, which is about the size of a minimum standard magic deck plus some tokens, or 3 - 5 microgames. Comparatively, the single can hold 33 sleeved cards, so like me, if you sleeve your cards you are going to want the do...
