Star Wars - Super Teams: Review

Star Wars - Super Teams: Review Information: Mechanics:  Race, Had Management, Team Based Player Age:  7+ Player Count:  2 - 4 Players Game Designer:  Max Gerchambeau Game Artist:  Derek Laufman BGG Weight:  1.00 Publisher:  Zygomatic, Asmodee Time to Play:  30 Minutes  Year Published:  2025 Disclaimer:  A review copy for the game was provided by Asmodee Introduction: Star Wars Super Team is a racing game where players are trying to get one or two pairs of ships across the end of the racetrack, playing either individually or as a team. The catch with this game is that players will have only six cards each round and will not draw cards until their hand is depleted. Each card will have a ship colour and a movement. Players can move the other players' ships as well as their own based on the cards in their hand. This mechanism makes the game a challenge in how players optimise their card timing.  Game A...

Clank Catacombs: Lairs and Lost Chambers - Review

Clank Catacombs: Lairs and Lost Chambers - Review Introduction: Clank Catacombs is a standalone cross-compatible edition of clank. My original review can be read here. This edition does not have a static map, instead it is a more explorative version with new locations and pathways revealed through tiles.  Lairs and Lost Chambers is an expansion that can easily be shuffled into the base game adding two new location types lairs which hide specific monsters and lost chambers which are similar to way shrines from the base game but contain different rewards and costs to placing down a players cube. There are also more elements in the tiles as well as 50 various new cards. One of my favourites is the burning tome which is a cheaper tome (only one point) but counts as a secret tome for in-game effects. Trophies: Trophies are a new mechanism added to this expansion. This will appear on the monsters in the lairs as well as various monsters or devices in the deck. If ...

The trail of Manifest Destiny is back, if you read the comics you know there is always an issue around the corner on this journey. For the original review click here . Goal: All the Corps of Discovery expansions add a new switch-up on how the challenge works. So to help people understand it's best to explain the goal of this scenario type. The goal itself is simple to eliminate four insects, the monster of this scenario. When they are in play the percent any of the eight spaces around them from being explor...

Silos: Review

Silos: Review Information: Mechanics: Area Control Player Age:  14+  Player Count:  2 - 4 Players Time to Play:  45 - 60  Minutes  Game Designer:   Reiner Knizia Game Artist:   Kwanchai Moriya Publisher:  Bitewing Games Year Published:  2025 BGG Weight:   2.27 Disclaimer:   A review copy for the game was provided by the publisher. Introduction: Silos is an interesting area control game. Each location has three reasons players are vying for control. The outcome from a UFO moving onto that location, the power that can be activated at the location or a mind control event awarding humans to the players. To be awarded these benefits the player has to have control of the location (some benefits award second place) when one of these benefits activates. Players only have six aliens when six locations are vying for control, so timing is very important in this game. Moving your aliens just before locations resolve (due to an ...

The twist is that each round every player is both the guesser and the clue giver. Game Anatomy: Word Cards: There are 91 word cards in the game, each double-sided. These are the words players are trying to connect. A maximum of 39 words is used in a game, so there is a vast array of variability. Suspect Boards and Perpetrator Board: Based...
