Meeple Stickers - Five Tribes and Five Tribes Artisans of Naquala Stickers: Review

Meeple Stickers - Five Tribes and Five Tribes Artisans of Naquala Stickers: Review

Introduction:

Five Tribes is an excellent game and one of my top mancala/worker placement games. For a full review on the game, go to the review here. Today, however, we are reviewing a product that can make this game even better, enhanced stickers for the components (predominantly the meeples).

Base Game:

There are two sets of stickers being reviewed. First are those for the base game. These stickers cover all of the meeples in the game as these are the predominant pieces. The stickers also cover every palm tree and palace as well. These pieces in particular stand out after being upgraded and the palm tree specifically has unique stickers for the first edition of the game. Sadly, the palace does not have any uniqueness for the first edition and the stickers were larger than my pieces.

Each player also has their components enhanced through every camel colour having a unique sticker depiction. Once again these pieces have a slight variation over the editions so multiple camel stickers are included to cover this.

Artisans of Naquala:

Artisans of Naquala is the largest expansion for five tribes (as well as the only one I own). The expansion includes a new purple tribe that now has their own stickers to properly match the base game. Included in this expansion are mountains that create impassable borders on tiles. Meeple Stickers have included these mountains that, like the palm trees and palaces, really brings the token to life. Similar to the camels in the base game, each tent also now contains their very own colour-coded sticker enhancement.

Final Thoughts:

-  Each piece contains front and back stickers.
- There are stickers for the camels and palm trees based on the game edition.
- Vibrant art.
- Besides a few stickers, most were very easy manoeuvred and attached great.
- The temple stickers are too large for the piece

This is the first time I have used Meeple Stickers and they were truly a pleasure to use. They adhered to each piece well and were easily fixed if you didn't line it up perfectly on the first go. Five Tribes felt more vibrant than ever as the art elevated the presence of the game. My particular favourites were the palm trees and mountains as these were the pieces that felt the most changed with the stickers. If you already love Five Tribes and are looking for a way to enhance the game then this collection of stickers is an easy recommendation to make.
