Introduction:

This third set of DC Funkoverse includes a double-sided map, the four basic scenarios (control, territory, leaders and flags), two characters, one item and all the tokens two players need to play.

Characters:

Wonder Woman:

Resources: Yellow and Red.

Defence: 2

Ability Cost: 2-3

Wonder Woman is a fierce fighter but one of her strongest attributes in Funkoverse is defence. One of her abilities will allow her stand up when knocked down (while also pushing enemies away). Additionally, she is equipped with the champion dice that have 4 shields and 2 critical die faces. Whenever Wonder Woman or an adjacent ally would roll a die they can roll the champion dice as well and then place it on the ‘two’ location of the cooldown track. This is perfect for defence, but if you are particularly fortunate to roll a critical, this can be used to booster attacks. Her 'Inspire Courage' action is also quite useful as she can move two, do an assist action and remove her champion dice off the cooldown track.

Cheetah:

Resources: Red and Blue.

Defence: 2

Ability Cost: 2-3

Cheetah is a character that is all about the point markers. As a passive ability she can move one space if another player performs an interact action, she can do an attack that gets stronger based on how high on the cooldown track a point marker is, and she also has a combined ability that allows her to interact with a point marker then move. If you combine Cheetah with an item that focuses on movement she will dominate the point markers on the board and attack anyone that will try and get close to them.

Item:

Lasso of Truth:

The lasso of truth is an amazing weapon. It won't need to be placed on the cooldown track and unlocks a new basic action for the character. A new basic challenge of range 2 and attack 2. The real bonus of this item is if you win the challenge you can shift a token or die down on the cooldown track by one space. This can drastically help your as long as the dice land in your favour.

Final Thoughts:

- Two great characters

- An item that can be used every turn

For any fan of DC this is an easy addition to the game. The selection of characters are useful, even though they have very specific playstyles and the weapon is a great addition to any character. With any set of Funkoverse, what makes the set great is where or not you are drawn to the characters in the first place.
