Introduction:

Funkoverse has three sets currently released in the DC franchise, one four-pack and two two-packs. This set particularly focuses on two allies of Gotham's Batman; Catwoman and Robin.

Characters:

Robin:

Resources: Blue and Red

Defence: 2

Ability Cost: 2-3

Robin is a support character, so much so that he is essentially an extension of another character. At the start of the game, he will give an ally his partner card. Two of his abilities will give his partner a chance to either move or attack out of turn. His last ability will allow him to return to his partner's side. This is a very interesting character and would be quite beneficial to a team.

Catwoman:

Resources: Blue and Grey

Defence: 1

Ability Cost: 1-3

Catwoman is a character that won't give up and her best offence is a good defence. She can race around the map with a move 4, do a follow-up attack if her 'Second Chances' fails, and even disarm her opponent of their item. When re-spawning she can go to any site that is not visible to an enemy, not just return to her starting area. Catwoman is a stealthy character that can get herself out of any bind she may find herself in.

Item:

Whip:

The whip, like the whip in DC102, unlocks a new basic action for the character. An attack of range 2 and challenge 2. This time, instead of moving items on your cooldown track, you move the target opponent 1 square if you win. This can be towards you, lining up a follow-through attack, or away from the location, which could be perfect for the territory scenarios.

Final Thoughts:

- Keeping the theme of the whip from another DC set.

- One easy to use character and one more technical character.

This is a great set for players with pre-existing collections. Robin in particular is a character that boosts your team but I find that he isn't a character that stands out on his own. Catwoman is a perfect introductory character as she has a range of abilities that keeps her useful and easy to use for any player. If you have already established a collection then this might be just the expansion for you.

These seals are those extra highlights for a Kickstarter Seal i would highly recommend backing or seeking out the kickstarter post release. For the Silver Seals i would seek out those games if they meet your style of game. The Golden Seals will be pat of my collection for a long time and i would highly recommend adding them to your collection.
